SUMMARY:
The Manager, Development Systems & Support will lead strategies to
improve the infrastructure and operational systems that support
leadership and staff development at Group Health.
This position will provide process and technical guidance within the
department, and lead development of various electronic and business
processes to support education and development services, including on-
line infrastructure.
This position will plan and lead the implementation of change
management and communication processes required by Development
Services initiatives and programs.
The Manager will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to design
and implement evaluation systems that inform Development Services'
continuous quality improvement efforts and that continually assess
and evaluate education and development efforts against the GHC
business plan and the needs of customers.
In addition, the Manager will provide management oversight and
leadership support to the administrative support team through the
optimal development and utilization of human and financial resources.
The qualified candidate must have a Bachelor's degree. An advanced
degree in business administration, healthcare administration,
organizational development, education, psychology or related field
equivalent experience in a mix of project management, consulting,
change management, process improvement, and problem solving is
preferred. 3-5 years progressively responsible management experience,
including demonstrated success with system change implementation and
project management is required. Prior organization development or
staff development experience in a healthcare environment is
preferred.
The qualified candidate will also have excellent leadership, project
management and consulting skills, excellent interpersonal skills,
strong written and oral communication skills, and strong analytical
skills. Other competencies required include knowledge of training and
organization development concepts, business process improvement,
system design, change management, problem solving, creativity, plus
the ability to negotiate.
The qualified candidate must be able to work independently with
limited guidance, seeking input from others as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree required.
Master's degree in Healthcare, Business Administration,
Organizational Development, Education, Psychology or related field
preferred.
3-5 years progressively responsible management experience, including
demonstrated success with system change implementation and project
management.
Strong leadership and management skills; demonstrated ability in
implementing change initiatives; expertise in system design and
change management.
Knowledge and skills in consulting and project management.
Demonstrated skill using project management tools for planning,
resourcing and scheduling projects.
Understanding of training and organization development concepts.
Basic technical understanding of computer systems and web
development.
Excellent planning, conceptual, and communication skills. Superior
critical thinking and analysis, verbal, written, negotiation and
interpersonal skills required.
